What’s iComing ?

iComing is an application that using gps(3G) or GSM cells (2g) monitor costantly your position and reached a target loction allows you to be alerted with alarm and vibrate,  send an sms or made a phone call to warn someone that you are coming.

Starting with 0.3 release, you can also send your position to twitter network at specific intervals of time so you can be track by your friend with twittervision.com service.

 

How it works:                     

You can save more target point; navigatein setup screen and choice curreny target of addone touching other…

       

Now you can enter the coordinate from yourself (found from google maps), using actual gps coordinate or find a coordinate with address information (this is a yahoo service)

      

touch Accept if precision level is enough and come back to target screeen: will found the latitude and longitude fields filled for you.

Maybe is a good idea to check the position with Display Map feature…

      
 

You can also enter the minimum distance (in KM) from the target. In this way iComing will be able to start the alarm when you will reach that position. For example if you want to be warned 5 minutes before you will arrive somewhere, you can set the alarm at 3 Km and it will start to ring 3km before the target location, determined with latitudine and longitudine. (please note that the accurancy of the iPhone 3G is much more better then the iPhone EDGE. In the second case it is only based on the gsm cells since there isn’t a real built-in gps, so you may have to calculate about 1-3 km more then the usual)

Another Note: The latitude must be enter negative for position at south of the equator and longiture negative for position at west of meridiane; you can start one time iComing and read your coordinate…

Now you can choice to send an SMS saying that you will be at home in 10 minutes (for example). iComing will calculate your position and when you will be “near to your home” it will send an automatic sms to your pre-specified number, with your customized text

Now you can come back to setup screen and insert your twitter account if you like..

     

A message with your position will be send to twitter network your friends can see where you are using twittervision.com
