anche questo progetto, come iComing, nasce dalle mie peripezie da pendolare…. quando ‘pendolando’ in auto capita di trovarsi fermi in colonna c’e’ sempre il dilemma di che fare

si cambia strada ?, si aspetta perche’ magari il problema e’ gia’ stato risolto e si sta stornando alla normalita’ ?, l’ incidente e’ poco piu’ avanti o la coda e’ di kilometri ?

sopratutto per chi non fa autostade e tangenziali come me e’ difficle trovare informazioni….

da qui l’idea di creare una piattaforma hw e sw che permetta velocemente di inserire localita’, tipo di problema ed eventualmente note, coordinate lette da gps ed inviare il tutto al server che inviera’ notifica push a chi si trova entro un raggio di x kilometri dal fattaccio (raggio da settare nel modulo di setup insieme al nick name da utilizzare)

al momento non e’ prevista registrazione, quindi semplicemente le segnalazioni saranno targate col vostro nick ma nessun controllo verra’ effettuato… vedremo sucessivamente se sara’ il caso di creare una procedura di registrazione

L’idea in se’ e’ quindi piuttosto semplice e tutto e’ legato alla partecipazione del maggio numero di persone possibile… se saremo in pochi ovviamente la cosa cadra’ li visto che diventera’ inutile; se al contrario l’idea viene apprezzata e seguita, cerchero’ collaboratori per realizzare una applicazione analoga per altre piattaforme che si interfacci al mio server in modo di allargare la base di utenti ed avere un database il piu’ capillare possibile…

Mi rendo conto che forse il progetto e’ un po’ troppo ambizioso ma tentar non nuoce

selezionando un evento viene visualizzata la mappa ed i commenti

da qui tramite la funzione aggiorna sara’ possibile aggiungere dei commenti e segnalare l’incidente come risolto (quando chi ha segnalato riparte o magari un altro utente passa di li’ piu’ tardi e vede che non c’e’ piu’ il blocco)

un pollice verde indichera’ che la segnalazione e’ ormai ’superata’–

Spero proprio che si riesca a creare un network che penso potrebbe essere molto utile in parecchie circostanze

Qui volendo potrete gestire completamente la vostra lega, creando le vostre regole e le rose per poi caricarle automaticamente su Fantateam; qui poi comporrete la formazione che verra’ inviata a Fantabig per poi il lunedi controllare il vostro risultato e la calssifica

Se per qualche ragione non volete o potete gestire la vostra lega completamente su Fantabig, potete comunque procedere alla sola registrazione in modo tale da poter comunque controllora il punteggio della vostra formazione il lunedi

stiamo ultimando i test di integrazione ed a breve verra’ rilasciato l’aggiornamento…

to start, i remember you that  SIManager work on a ‘local copy’ of SIM data and all modification are made on this local database; to bring the change into SIM (add, change or deletion) you MUST use Write To SIM function. Another important note: the first time you use SIManager, or you exchange the SIM of iPhone, you MUST use the Read From SIM function because only using it SIManager can know how many contact can store your SIM. If you dont do it will receive the error message SIM is full! trying to add any contact!

To empty the sim:

• Read from SIM
• Tool / Empty SIM (all row become red)
• Write to SIM

New with 1.9

Search bar to search name or number

Sort the local list to name or position into SIM (the default)

The navigation bar now display SIMan (xx/yy) where xx are the number of contacts used and yy the total number of contact that your SIM can store

So now with tool menu you can

with Add (+) you can choice to pickup a contact from iPhone or enter it manually

selecting an entry from the list

Where replace change the selected entry with a contact picked from iPhone where with modify you can edit directly the entry.

All SIM that i have directly tested work fine, you you have issue with some SIM model (i have read that italian 3 sim ha not work) the only chance to solve the issue is to find a user with the problem and a good knowledge of iphone that can test for me some command with SSH (or send me a SIM)

maybe someone has found and installed this SBSettings toggle…
i know that on some iphone it create problems with garbage text but pity on mine and my beta testersall works fine so isnot easy to understand where is the problem…
also many people on ispazio blog confirm me that run ok but someone has problems
if here someone has these problems with KeeAwake, please report all springboard addon installed and other low-level tool application; i will try to configure my iphone like yours to try to replicate the bug/incompatibility

with the help of sagitt, member of iSpazio, seem the problem of garbage text in the screen is solved… the problem was the dimension of icons used for status bar; the new icons has been created by sagitt, thanks!

The very strange thing is why this issue wasnot present on every iphone ?????

as requested i have add the support for DNS-O-Matic (with this provider the hostname is not used and DNS-O-Matic will update all linked provider with the provided IP)

as requested now iDNS update also WiFi IP; when run it check if WiFi has an IP and if so use it, otherwise check for data IP (remember that sometime the edge/3g is not connected, to made a connection is enough open meteo or another application that use data connection)

since 2 days ago i got a white screen after a call made from an CallMe’s icon and i have received some mail too

One problem though. After I use the icon to dial I hang up. This is where the problem starts, it doesn’t go back to the home screen or the phone app. Instead, a plain white screen that doesn’t go away. Any ideas?

I have found the is a conflict with last versione of backgrounder, at least in my case; if you set Animation to OFF in the backgrounder setup the problem is solved!

Just i have time i will investigate where can be the problem…

Few weeks ago Matthias ask me to add a status bar notification of the iComing status, due he has iComing icon under a folder of category, so its not always immediately visible…  we have tested it and then i have forgot to release -)

Its is a mobile substrate addon, so i prefer to create a separate addon, so who is not interested is not obliged to install it with the main package

The icons displayed are:

iComing is ON (badge show ON)

iComing is wait to rewake later (badge show the hour of rewake)

iComing sleep until tomorrow (badge show Tom)

hi,

i have just upgrade the firwmare (pity) and, by a fast test, seem that RandomRing, iDNS and CallMe run fine, at least on my iphone.

iComing has a problem because the background process crash just started -(

Pity the development environment downloadable from cydia not work under 3.0; saurik say he must repackage it for 3.0 but is very busy because many other things have problem with new firmware….  so to patch iComing i must wait for him, hope the wait is not too long -)

i have recompiled ComingSrv directly on a mac… the crash was during the update of the badge with the status (i dont know yet how to do it from a background process with OS3) so for now is mandatory use the StatusBar addon to know the status of iComing

If someone want do some test and report here which service doesnt work, can download the new process from here and copy the file with ssh into /ust/bin/ComingSrv; the permission must be 755

for sure the mail service not work because apple has changed everything with 3.0; the other service will tested the next week

on my old 2g the Call and Ring function doesnt work is the monitor of iphone is turned off, seem that apple has added a contro to tel:// url : safari not make a call if screen is off because if i get screen on iComing work fine…

I nuovi canali hd come fox, fox crime ed alcuni cinema non hanno un loro palinsesto separato… se guardate il sito sky, guida tv lo vedete anche li che non ci sono. Il canale ha una sola identificazione per sd e hd e, immagino, registra quello hd se hai il myskyhd, altrimenti registra quello sd

usi iEPG ma non possiedi ancora un ricevitore MySky ? questo aggiornamento e’ proprio per te!

purtroppo tramite SDK non viene permessa una integrazione col calendario nativo di iPhone ed utilizzare le push notification richiede un server dedicato…. ed un pacco batterie aggiuntivo visto quanto ciucciano -)

da qui l’idea di integrazione di iEPG con Google Calendar che a sua volta permette di

• ricevere una mail di notifica di un evento
• ricevere un sms di notifica (ionon l’ho ancora testato, dalle faq risulterebbe gratuito ma occorrono verifiche)
• ma sopratutto sincronizzarsi col calendario di iPhone tramite server exchange e quindi essere avvertiti dall’allarme del calendario (http://www.ispazio.net/24207/google-sync-beta-per-iphoneipod-touch)

e’ ancora infase di test e chi fosse interessato, esperto, e che gia’ usa Google Calendar e vuole partecipare alla fase di test mi faccia sapere…

vedo che molti continuano a chiedere come mai non ci sono i nuovi canali fox hd, fox crime hd etc.

come gia’ scritto da altre parti questi canali non hanno una loro identificazione specifica (id del canale) ma fox sd e fox hd hanno la stessa identificazione, quindi lo stesso palinsesto.

Come potete vedere anche sulla guida tv SKY non esiste al momento nessuna differenziazione

io ho il mysky hd e registrando un programma da iEPG su fox mi registra su FoxHD; a chi ha una mysky normale verra’ registrato su FoxSD.

Al momento non sii puo’ fare altrimenti, iEPG attinge comunque al database approntato da SKY e quindi non puo’ fornire informazioni diverse da quelle che fornisce la guida online di SKY.

no new functions but only improvement of firmware 3.0 compatibility…

the main issue from my test was that Call and Ring function (made with a call to safari, with url tel://) not work with 3.0 if the screen is off -)

Now this function work but iComing use a low level modem function, so the call will be recorded in the history as unknow number, but i thinks this is not a big issue…

oggi tramite Apple sono entrato in contatto con un responsabile di SKY e per ragioni indipendenti dalla loro volonta’ entro qualche giorno dovro’ rimuovere l’ applicazione :(  quindi se siete interessati affrettatevi a scaricare o aggiornare…

Non so some mai altre applicazioni non abbiano avuto gli stessi problemi, anyway le argomentazioni mi paiono ragionevoli

La bella notizia e’ che, presumibilmente verso la fine di agosto, uscira’  una versione ufficiale

di seguito un passo dello scambio di mail intercorso, come concessomi…

l’inconveniente, come hai potuto vedere dalla e-mail di Apple, nasce soprattutto dall’utilizzo dei diritti sull’utilizzo dei brand dei canali (i brands Disney infatti ti erano già stati inibiti) e dei software che sono alla base del servizio, dei quali noi abbiamo la concessione ma non possono essere ceduti od utilizzati da terzi.

Di qui la necessità di interrompere il servizio se no SKY sarebbe andata incontro a problemi legali con i vari fornitori.

Avremmo potuto utilizzare mezzi più diretti e meno “carini” per far stoppare il servizio ma, anche leggendo il tuo blog, abbiamo capito le tue buone intenzioni e abbiamo scelto di passare attraverso Apple.

L’idea è molto buona tanto che anche noi stiamo finalizzando una versione gratuita per l’i-phone, già presente da tempo sui nostri m-site almeno per la parte del palinsesto dei canali.

L’applicazione si chiamerà “SKY Guida TV” e penso che verrà rilasciata alla fine di Agosto con le funzionalità che tu ben conosci: guida TV, booking di MySKY e acquisto eventi Primafila, proprio una miglior user experience nella presentazione di Primafila sta ritardando il lancio.

Un’applicazione simile sarà successivamente lanciata anche su altri mobile phones.

Non posso lasciare on air l’applicazione per le ragioni dette sopra, ma ai ‘nostri utenti’ puoi comunicare, in anteprima assoluta, che la tua idea ha avuto successo tanto che SKY sta per lanciare un’applicazione ufficiale e che per motivi legati alla proprietà intellettuale devi stoppare il servizio.

nel frattempo per chi l’ha gia’ installata non dovrebbero esserci problemi…

da una richiesta e le idee di Luca, uno dei beta tester di iEPG nasce l’idea di FantaTeam che gia’ dal nome avrete capito di cosa tratta -)

la troverete presto in AppStore alla modica cifra di 0 euro, seppur con qualche banner che ci aiutera’ a supportare l’evolversi della applicazione.

Mancano ancora alcune cose importanti come le pagelle del lunedi, ma visto l’inizio del campionato e il raggiungimento del primo obbiettivo, poter comporre la formazione ed inviarla via mail agli avversari, cominciamo a rilasciare questa prima versione.

Potrete inserire i dati di tutti i tornei a cui partecipate, le regole adottate e gli altri partecipanti al torneo, formare la vostra rosa ed infine settimanalmente la formazione; la lista dei giocatori sara’ aggiornabile online per avere gli arrivi dell’ultimo minuto ed il calciomercato di gennaio.

Stiamo cercando un partner ‘ufficiale’ per la forunitura della pagelle in modo tale da poter integrare classifiche e statistiche e contiamo quanto prima di avere un aggiornamento disponibile; verra’ sucessivamente integrato Google Documents/Google Spreadsheet cosi’ potrete avere una ‘bacheca’ comune tra tutti i partecipanti al vostro torneo in cui FantaTeam aggiornera’ punteggi e classifica.

i have finally found free time to implement the features request by many users

i have add a toggle for update WIFI IP and a toggle to choice, if you update WIFI too, if  use the internal (fe. 192.168.1.5) or public  ip address

From my test all seem ok,but i dont use VPN on my iphone, if somebody has VPN configured and found some bug, let me know

very soon it will be available on cydia

Riguardo la lentezza, usando l’oggetto web non c’e’ nulla da fare, stiamo studiando una comunicazione diretta applicazione/server ma per questo ci vorra’ un pochino di piu’, c’e’ parecchio lavoroo da fare sia lato client che server

tempo di rifare tutti i test domani insieme ai beta testers (anzi se ci sono ancora un paio di persone interessate…) ed inviero’ come promesso l’aggiornamento ad apple che risolve il problema dei doppi/tripli nominativi per gli ultimi acquisti di calciomercato..

Il db contenuto in questa versione contiene gia’ tutti i trasferimenti; quando fare l’upgrade (la prima volta) vi verra’ segnalato che viene aggiornato il database alla versione corrente (quindi non viene sostituito il vostro, in modo da mantenere i campionati e partecipanti etc che avete definito, ma vengono aggiornate le tabelle e i dati in base alle nuove caratteristiche)

Gia’ che c’ero ho inserito alcune delle cose che mi avete chiesto, almeno quelle che non avrebbero ritardato troppo l’invio:

• aumentato a 15 il numero massimo di giocatori per ruolo; dovrebbe coprire le esegenze di chi non riusciva a caricare 11 centrocampisti -)

• invio della formazione in modalita’ testo (come ora) o grafico, allegando l’immagine della formazione titolare

• invio della formazione via sms; siccome da sdk non e’ possibile inserire il testo, questo viene copiato nella clipboard e lanciata la app messaggi, da qui nel campo testo dovrete solo fare ‘incolla’; al momento non ho gestito il salvataggio dei nr di telefono in fantateam, quindi andra’ inserito nella app messaggi.

• per risolvere il ‘problema Vargas’ -), ora il ruolo e’ editabile da voi; tenete pero’presente che nel caso ci fosse un trasferimento a gennaio, quando riceverete l’aggiornamento, il ruolo sara’ resettato a quello di default.

Per ora e’ tutto, ora riprovero’ a contattare pianetafantacalcio (da voi tanto richiesto) per aggiungere la gestione dei voti e punteggi

soon on App Store this my feed reader with push notifications (free but with ad support) … yes, just another reader but with plus of optionally set the push service on individual feed; the project was start time ago but i had not much time to work on it…

There is not much to tell about a feed reader, here you can see some screenshot:

If the appllication will have a discrete success i will add some feature to the push option, like personalized sound and the possibility of set a slot time (feed by feed).

monitoring the database on my server, i can see so many feeds (too many)  that is subscribed but never read…  maybe somebody subscribe just for test, maybe somebody has removed the application, maybe somebody read only the push and then read full news with other application

I’m sorry, but to prevent an unnecessary overload of server and for try to have a ’support’ from the advertise to pay the dedicate server, starting with the next days the push will be send only to the users that use pushNews to read the news…

in other words, the push will be send :

• up to 8 hours from the last time the application was used (this is a common practice, @numbuzz for example send push for max 1 hour when youclose the application)

• the badge (counter of unread push) is not more then 10 (there are lot of users with badge > 150)

i can use more large parameters in the future when the situation will be normalized and the subscribed feed will be feed effectively read by users of pushNews….  help me to find a good compromise

Hello,

i’m doing final test of the new version….  1.1 still not manage a sync with google reader but i will try to add in the future

for now the version will add

• a better test of the feed you are trying to add; this should prevent the user to add bad url, like www.facebook.com for example and the application to crash when some bad url was added

• the news can be now read in full screen mode; this can be done by tool menu or with a slide left to right gesture

• the news can be read in landscape mode; as suggested to me by some user, the screen rotation is disabled by default to prevent unwanted rotation… the rotation can be enable by tool menu and will stay active till you close the application

If someone want test this new version in the next days let me know, four eyes are better then two

The update has been sent to Apple yesterday; this is a minor update:

- i had a contact with Apple for a copyright issue: an application named push news was already sell in the US AppStore so starting with new release the application name will be pushFeed

- in the add feed function now there is a better check of URL validity (many user was trying to use a web site url instead a feed url)

- reading articles the user now can set a full screen mode

- reading articles the user now can use a landscape mode

In the next days i will start to send 1.2 version to some beta testers.

This update will add Google Reader Sync function:

- import feed into pushFeed from Google Reader

- export feed from pushFeed to Google Reader

- mark article as read on Google Reader when read in pushFeed

Some users report to me that push was not recived: please remember that now push will be send only to users that effectly use pushFeed to read the news.
After 24 hours that pushFeed is been closed or after 10 unread news the push will be suspended; to have back the push is enough use pushFeed again
Please report to me the feed that pushFeed is not able to manage client or server side (push never received); many minor feeds are not correctly formatted but i can try to manage they anyway…

One more thing if you like pushFeed, recommend it to your friends
I hope in the future to pay the montly fee for the dedicated server for the push with advertise, but its only possibile with a good number of users

as request by some users, here a little update with new contact’s icons to send message (SMS)

after you have choice the phone entry to add in springboard, you will asked for the type of icon must be create

you can know if icon was create for phone call or message

If somebody need, i can add an icon for email in the next update

another addon of 1.8 is the lenght of field name saved into the SIM; since now was fixed to 14, now to optimize the use with the new SIM with more space, the field lenght is read from the SIM. To use this  feature, if a previous version of SIManager is installed, you must do a ‘read from SIM’ at least one time

Please remember how ‘fast read’ in the setup work: when on, the read from SIM loop is stopped at the 1st empty entry.. so if you save the contact without hole, in position 1 to 100 for example, at the position 101 (empty) the loop is stopped without read till 120 or 250 or 500 depending on sim capacity

BUG FIX: from comments “when you import all contact from iPhone to sim, the last name was display first contrary to the manual + add. Seems the auto all contact import doesnt care thé firstname lastname option setup.Can you fix this please ? Thank you”

i have send now to beyouriphone the 1.4 with some fix and:

mod: when a contact is added to sim list is truncated immediately to the max 14 characters (now you see full name till saved to sim and reloaded)

new: added function Copy iPhone to SIM; of course if the SIM has sufficent capacity

mod: when a contact is added to sim list all space and special characters from numbers are removed (it was cause of error writing sim)

new: double tap on navigation bar to move the list; on center to go middle, a bit more to left or to right to go at the top or the bottom

hope you enjoy and that it work on all phone now

******************* UPDATE:  the version 1.2 is now available on repo test.beyouriphone.com; all incompatibility with 3.1.2 should be removed… all peoples in direct contact with me are able toread the SIM with this version; dont know why somebody has yet the error.

if you contact me i will send a test app to check the answer of the SIM during initialyzing (we read how many contact can save the SIM)

the fast read swicth tell the application do not try to read full SIM but stop a the first empty entry ; if you are sure that your contact are save sequentially, can use this switch to fast the read function… if you are not sure leave the switch off and all possibile entry will be checked

1.2 BUG: the total number of possibilecontact on the SIM wa not retained, so opening the application and adding contact you will see a message “the SIM is full”; of course isnt true, the 1.3 that i sent to beyouriphonesolve this bug

this is yet a beta version because i cannot test on all devices model/all firmware/all base band, so maybe it dont work on some configuration…   i dont need it for myself  but i have received some request fom users that was using an application available on cydia for 2.x firmare, so i write SIManager :)  that will be available in the next days

A little note about it work:

when yuo use Read from SIM function the contact are save in a local database and next time you open SIManager this db is used to show the contacts; the function is a bite slow,be patience:)

Standard SIM allow only 2 field, a description of 14 characters and a phone number

• black background mean that contact is as it was read from SIM
• red background mean that the contact is deleted
• dark red background mean the contact has been modifyed

When the information will be saved back to the SIM all background return to black

Select the contact to be modified

and import into phone contacts

or touch the + button to pickup a contact from phone and save in the SIM list

You can now select the row in every point to see the feed news; the blue arrow disclosure will show the feed detail view.

If you have a lot of feed, a double tap on the navigation bar will scroll the list to first row

The tool button will display now a setup function

insert here your Google Reader user and password if you want to sync feedpush with Google Reader.

Google Reader is an aggregator and is update with much delay in front of original feed, so i cannot read news from there because when i send a push the news is not yet available on Google Reader.

The news will read from original feed; for this reason the integration with Google Reader has only this feature:

• import feed from Reader (from feed detail, add feed function)
• export feed from feed push to Reader (from feed detail, edit feed function)
• mark all as read: when you mark a feed or all feeds ‘as read’ in feed push, your Reader will be syncronized and marked as read. Remember that Reader maybe has not yet the last news just published, so they will be not marked as read

You can now touch a row in every point to read the news; to go back at the top of news list double tap on navigation screen

In the read news view, the gesture to select full screen and go back are changed to avoid issue when you want scroll a page horizontally; the slide to activate the special functions now must be long at least 200 pixel, so almost every the screen

i have received some request for support arabic and cyrillic but need help of users in that zone that can copy and run a test application from commandline (on the iphone), to check which set of characters are available on that sim

ho aggiornato tutti i trasferimenti avvenuti in gennaio; andate in rosa, lista squadre e usate la funzione aggiorna…

potrebbe essermi sfuggito qualcosa ma e’ inutile che vi lamentiate nei commenti su itunes che sono illeggibili :)   contattemi e mettero’ a posto le cose che mi sono sfuggite…

per i voti purtroppo non c’e’ stato nulla da fare..  abbiamo contattato parecchi siti che si occupano di fantacalcio ma la maggior parte di loro con molta educazione non ha neanche risposto…  sembrava fatta con pianetafantacalcio ma dopo mesi di tira e molla, giorni dedicati alla modifica della applicazione e delle pagine asp da installare sul loro sito, le routine di dialogo vengono continuamente disabilitate per non ben identificati motivi..

vista la poca serieta’ mi sono stufato e quindi mi spiace per voi ma i voti non saranno integrati a meno che tra gli utenti di Fantateam non ci sia un volenteroso che vuole partecipare al progetto: della parte tecnica ed infrastrutturale  me ne occupo io maci vuole qualcuno disposto ad inserire i voti (presi da dove volete voi) nel db che metterei a disposizione
