During november 2002, see the low sun activity for good dx on six, i have rebuild a little setup for work satellite
Found a 2nd hand Kenwood TR851 for 432, i have mounted 2 little aerials: 4 el. for 144 and 9 el. for 432 by F9FT, the two rotors was in garage from previous installation and so i am started with the first qso on FO-20 with Ivano IW2DMN. My pleasure wotk also AO-7 few time and with good signal.

The aerials are very low, so i am closed to nord but anyway i can work many passages of FO-20, FO-29 and UO-14 and sometime AO-13. Its funny work on UO-14 with dozen of station that call together on the only channel available hi. But the appetite come eating.. so i have tryed to use an old dish in garage by few years for listen AO-40 the better (or unique hi) satellite on high orbit. I have choice the converter from DB6NT for a very low noise figure and mount the dish in the garden on a tripod, with manual rotor, for the first tests. I can receive MB max S5 with week qsb but my uplink ERP not enough for listen myself ??? For the uplink i had used an old RT5020, 18 meters, and fortunately I8CVS, a mith for satellite operations, advice me to change that cable because after few years it is contaminate and... YES, with a new RG213 FOAM i have almost 3S point more on local beacon so the 18/12/2002 i hade my first qso on AO-40 with I8CVS Domenico and IZ1ERR Piero.
Many thanks to IZ1ERR Piero for the help durign the development of helix and testing it through many e-mail and telephone call hi

Now i have found an 2nd hand grid dish of an old kit by Nuova Elettronica for the meteosat reception so i can mount it on the must (of course less wind load in front of actual full dish). The last image coming soon.
73s, hope to meet you on ao-40 :)
